Little Knitted Stocking Ornaments
Whip out your knitting needles and make a cute pair of these Christmas Stockings to adorn your tree! You can tuck some candy or even cash in these knitted stockings for that special someone!
Stockings measure approximately 2-1/4"(at bottom of sock) x 2-1/2"
*Basic knitting skills are helpful to complete this project.
~2-size 2 double -pointed knitting needles
~4-ply yarn in white and colors of your choice~small amounts of yarn are perfect for these
~Large-eye needle for sewing seam of stocking
Cast on 31 stitches
Row 1~Purl across
Row 2~Knit across
Row 3~Purl across
Row 4~Knit across
Row 5~Purl across
Row 6~Knit 17, slip stitch 1, knit 2 together, pass slip stitch over, turn
Row 7~Slip Stitch 1, purl 3, purl 3 together, turn
Row 8~Slip stitch 1, knit 3, slip stitch 1, knit 2 together, pass slip stitch over, turn
Row 9~Slip stitch 1, purl 3, purl 3 together, turn
Row 10~Slip stitch 1, knit 3, slip stitch 1, knit 2 together, pass slip stitch over, turn
Row 11~Slip stitch 1, purl 3, purl 3 together, turn
Row 12~Slip stitch 1, knit 11
Row 13~Purl across
Row 14~Knit across (if you want to add stripes, add in rows 14-19)
Row 15~Purl across
Row 16~Knit across
Row 17~Purl across
Row 18~Knit across
Row 19~Purl across
Row 20~Knit across
Row 21~Purl across, break off yarn
Row 22~With white knit across
Row 23~Purl across
Row 24~Knit across
Row 25~Purl across
Row 26~Bind off
Sew stocking seam and add a ribbon or yarn to hang.
